Van Dyke Brown is a 19th-century iron–silver printing process known for its warm sepia-brown image tone and characteristic matte surface. Named for the rich brown pigments associated with 17th-century painting, the process produces prints with strong tonal presence and fine detail when contact printed under UV exposure.
This kit contains the essential sensitiser and clearing chemistry required to produce Van Dyke Brown prints. Each component is prepared and packaged in small batches in the U.K. for consistency and reliable working results.
